Targeted Regulatory Deterrence And Private Economic Sanction Compliance in Peace and Conflict

Private compliance generates operational information facilitating business decisions. M&As with risky parties are at least 20 percent less likely to succeed if due diligence lasts four months or longer after a US corporate sanction compliance guideline.

Compliance Is Taxing: A Field Experiment on Tax Abatement Information in the United States (with Nathan M. Jensen and Daniel Nielson)

Leveraging audit experiments, we find Texan local governments are not more likely to comply with our information disclosure requests when reminded of disclosure obligations under GASB 77.
